Hello Gaetano,

Please confirm whether you used the DDS VFO with BITEX20 v3.
Please give the the reports regarding the audio with and without DDS VFO.

I had BITEX 20 ckt with me(an old version) But have not tried.

sorry for delay due to account expiry.
the dds with the bitx version3 work great , but you put the modification near condenser of sound amplifier (100microH).
i think because the signal level of dds is greater than vfo (with my scope and on my bitx) and a small rf go in the sound amplifier

bye my friend

Hi
I Have successfully completed a DDS with the following facilities. It uses Microcontroller PIC16F877A and AD 9850/9851 DDS chip. The main facility in this DDS VFO is any settings including chip type and DDS clock can be changed even after programming the Microcontroller CHIP.

Congratulation for your DDS. Some years ago I started to build a DDS but hadn't time to finish it.
Could I get the hex file for picmicro?

Thank you.

HI ALL

I WANT TO KNOW THAT "CAN I USE 20MHZ CRYSTAL OSC. IN DDS VFO IF I USE AD9851?"

AS PER INFORMATION 1/3RD OF THE SYSTEM CLOCK WILL BE THE O/P FREQUENCY OF DDS AND SYSTEM CLOCK IN CASE OF AD9851 WILL BE 6*XTAL OSC. SO THE SYSTEM CLOCK WILL BE 120MHZ MAXIMUM O/P FREQUENCY WILL BE 40 MHZ

KINDLY HELP ME.

Dear Shaji,

Do you still have the complete kits available. I would like to have a set, either in ready to assemble form or assembled.

I am located in Cochin.

Regards

Hi,
"I WANT TO KNOW THAT "CAN I USE 20MHZ CRYSTAL OSC. IN DDS VFO IF I USE AD9851"

Yes, You can, and AD9851 DDS Will give you 40MHz.
In my DDS, the system settings are software locked.
You cannot make a wrong entry. DDS will allow you the possible positive entries only, so that the AD9851 will be safe always...

Please send me an email for details of VFO and PCB and kit availability.
